PRE-TREATMENT
Before your first treatment, it’s important to avoid sun exposure. Your skin needs to be its natural skin tone in order to be safely treated, so no tanning or sunless tanner throughout your treatment.
We’ll need you to shave the day of or the day before your first treatment, but waxing and plucking should be avoided. Come in for treatments with clean skin— no makeup, lotion, or perfume.

SUBSEQUENT TREATMENTS
Welcome back!
You’ll notice you don’t have to shave as often and hair is noticeably more sparse. After your first treatment, the laser power will begin to increase with each visit to provide you with the best results possible.

Avoid sun exposure and tanning beds prior to treatment. Also avoid self-tanning products for two weeks prior. Any residual self tanner must be removed completely before treatment.

Recently tanned skin cannot be treated. If treated within 2 weeks of active (natural or tanning booth) tanning, you may develop hypopigmentation (white spots) after treatment and this may not clear for 2-3 months or more. Always be honest with your tech.

Please shave the area 12-24 hours prior to treatment, but avoid any hair removal treatments that remove the hair follicle for 6 weeks prior to your treatment. This includes: plucking, waxing, sugaring and bleaching. Thed hair must be in the follicle as this is what the laser will target.

Do not apply any lotions, creams, oils or deodorant to the skin before treatment.

Avoid topical Retin-A, any acids (salicylic acid, glycolic acids), or any exfoliants for 3 days prior treatment.

If you are taking antibiotics for illness, treatment may resume 2 weeks after your course is finished.

You must be off Accutane for 6 months prior to service.

If you have a history of perioral or genital herpes herpes simplex virus, call your physician and discuss/request prophylactic antiviral treatment. Follow the directions of the antiviral medication prior to treatment.
